In the northwestern part of Corfu, 40km from the city we meet the village of Karousades.
The village of Karousades settles on the greenery-packed outskirts of Sidari.
It is a graphic village on the road to Roda that distinguishes for its traditional architecture. It is built in a beautiful location. Karousades is one of the bigger villages. Its streets are piled high with pretty vine-strung houses and finished off with a sprinkling of tavernas.
Cypress and pine forests cloak the town, sweeping out to a coastline strung with beaches. Despite all the peace and quiet, Karousades is only a 10 minute drive from Sidari. Today is a popular village with some Bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets, school the post office and a Police station.
In the village centre, you find the restored Theotokis mansion – home to several generations of political activists, artists and writers – sits pride of place. The rest of Karousades has a shabby chic look, thanks to the pastel-painted houses with age-worn shutters Terracotta roofs and flowering plants complete the picture.
Astrakeri is a Greek village, located in the North of the island of Corfu. It is part of the former municipality Esperion, and since the municipal reforms of 2011, part of Corfu. According to the population figures of 2001, 182 people living there.
The village is mainly a holiday destination with the attractions include the Astrakeri beach.
You find Apartments and a few restaurants on the way to the beach.
The area of Agnos is an extension of Astrakeri beach. Its a peaceful bay surrounded by green hills and located exactly next to Astrakeri beach. A few traditional tavernas add to the area a local color. It is a good choice for relaxing family holiday, located between the touristic centers of Roda and Sidari.
